| Here’s
how the DunsDemands Letter Series works: |
 |
- Go to www.hmibg.com, click ‘D&B Collections’,
then select ‘Send Demand Letters’
at the D&B welcome page.
- Enter the requested information for each patient
account you want to receive the
DunsDemands Letter Series — you will receive
a ‘Demand Letter Confirmation’ for
each account submitted.
- Within a 30-day period, D&B Receivables Management
(RMS) will send three letters,
of increasing urgency, on your behalf to each account submitted.
The letters will be
sent on D&B letterhead and will include a tear-off remittance
for patients to mail their
payment directly to you. Each letter contains standard Fair
Debt Collection Practices
Act (FDCPA) validation language on the reverse side to ensure
compliance with
Federal and State laws governing debt collection.
- Your HMI Buying Group statement will reflect a charge
of $14.95 for each account
